Loreto College is a Catholic voluntary all-girls secondary school. The school was founded in Mullingar by the Loreto sisters in 1881. The school is widely recognised as a centre of academic excellence in the context of inclusivity.  With a student population of over 820 students the school encourages all interests and talents. Loreto College is a multicultural school with each student bringing their own culture and experiences with them to share with the Loreto community. The school exudes talent and excellence and throughout history the school has been known in particular for its  extracurricular prowess in music and sporting traditions.
