The Mary Ward Schools’ Compass is a guiding educational document developed in 2017 at an international conference of members of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM), Congregatio Jesu (Congregation of Jesus or CJ) and representatives from schools in 21 countries. This network is made up of over 180 Mary Ward schools worldwide.

The document identifies eight markers which Mary Ward schools use to ensure that they continue to offer educational, co-curricular and student wellbeing programs which are relevant in a rapidly changing world and which empower students to become agents of change in a global society.
