Traditionally each year, Transition Year students produced the annual edition of the Loreto College Yearbook. Originally called Loreto Link, this publication was in production for twenty years, cataloging each year’s highlights in Loreto College. Featuring school events, trips abroad, a TY diary, awards and accomplishments, creative writing, a bio on a past student, a mini-profile of all of our Leaving Certificate students, and class group photographs, it proved annually to a valuable momento for students and their families alike. Great appreciation and thanks is extended to the Transition Year media and photography classes, to Ms O’Toole (photography coordinator), and to Ms Nulty (magazine coordinator) in their work on the many aspects involved in the production of this yearbook over the years.
In order to deliver news of school events to parents and families more often, a Public Relations Committee, set up by PR Coordinator Mr Robert Masterson, put together and publish a biannual newsletter. The inaugural newsletter was most excellently received by families in 2021, and these newsletters are a wonderful showcase of the activities experienced by our students as well as a prime example of a student-centred endeavour, profiling their creativity and excellence in communication skills.
