In celebration of the feast of the Epiphany in Ireland, January 6th is marked by Nollaig na mBan or Women's Little Christmas. On this day, it is the tradition in Ireland for women to gather and enjoy their own Christmas celebration. Today, we gather as a school community to mark the occasion. The Feast of the Epiphany - also known as Three Kings' Day - is a Christian feast day which falls on 2025's return to school date after the Christmas holiday, January 6th. It is a special date for many Christians as it's when people celebrate how a star led the Magi - also known as the Three kings or the Wise Men - to visit the baby Jesus after he had been born. We thank Fr Phil Gaffney for visiting our school today to faciliate a lunchtime liturgy to mark this special occasion. We give thanks for all our students, and wish them every blessing for the 2025 year ahead.
