Transition Year bridges the gap between Junior and Senior Cycles. The aim of Transition Year is to develop a sense of personal responsibility and provide a very good foundation for Leaving Certificate.
Students Study the normal range of Academic Subjects:

- General Science
- Careers
- P.E.
- Home Economics
- History
- Geography
- Business Studies
- Computers
- Irish
- English
- Mathematics
- Religion
- Economics
- Art
- Music
- Physics
- Horticulture
- Choir
The following areas are also offered on a modular basis:
- First Aid
- Self Defence
- Drama
- Law
- Media Studies
In addition the students undertake:
- Project work
- Have work experience for 3 weeks
- Visit a range of places of economic, social, historical, religious, political and scientific interest
- Participate in outdoor pursuits
- Engage in social activities in the local community
- Have lectures from visiting guest-speakers on a wide range of topics
