Public Speaking is an extracurricular activity open to all senior students.
Girls are encouraged to improve the art of communication and to participate in competitions. Many students have represented our school with distinction at local, regional and national level on the public speaking stage. All participants have enhanced their sense of pride and achievement. Participation also encourages greater social awareness.
We enter our students in the Soroptimist International and Mental Health competitions.
This is a great forum to develop self confidence in communicating their ideas.
Students are mentored by Ms Cosgrave and Ms Hanlon.
Meetings take place at lunchtime once a week from term one onwards.
Below are pictured our competitors from 2021/2022 and 2022/2023, events that saw one of our students being chosen to compete in the next stage of the competition in successive years. Well done to all our students in their superb performances.
