As we reflect back on the year 2020, we pray for our friends and relatives who are sick. We pray especially for those who have died and remember relatives and friends who are grieving.
While the year has been marked by great difficulty, we think back on all we have to be grateful for. We give thanks for the safety of those in our school community, especially our students who have shown great compliance with the adjustments they have had to adhere to in our school since their return in August. We give thanks for the resolve and determination of our students in 2019/2020 who adapted to and perservered through difficult online learning. And we give thanks for the endeavours of school management and staff who have worked hard to create a safe and happy learning environment for our students.
We stand at the threshold of a new year and as we pray, we wish God’s blessing upon our students, their families and on our staff.
in this New Year I pray:
to live deeply, with purpose, to live freely, with detachment, to live wisely, with humility, to live justly, with compassion, to live lovingly, with fidelity, to live mindfully, with awareness, to live gratefully, with generosity, to live fully, with enthusiasm.
Help me hold this vision and to daily renew it in my heart, becoming ever more one with you.
