All first years complete a block of swimming classes for PE. They have great fun improving their swimming, their water confidence and learning water safety in Mullingar Swimming Pool.
Every year we enter a swim team in the All-Ireland Inter Loreto Schools Swimming Gala. This is held in the National Aquatic Centre in November or December annually. It is a fantastic opportunity for our competitive swimmers to show their skills and meet other Loreto students from around the country. In recent years, we brought a team of 24 students and we won second place overall out of 17 Loreto Schools. A fantastic achievement.
