Mentoring Programme

Our school engages annually with Foróige's well-respected schools' mentoring programme, Big Sister, Little Sister. This programme fosters leadership qualities in senior students in their mentoring of new, First Year students throughout the year. The programme is completely optional for students, but one that is strongly advised for the benefits that it has for young and older students alike. 

Students interested in taking part in the programme are given an application form to fill in at home with their parents. They list their interests, hobbies, etc., and the Mentoring Coordinator pairs the First Year students with their senior counterparts based on these interests. Students meet once weekly in the school's concert hall, and chat, ask and answer questions, and engage in organised activities.
